This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the federal service which includes: 1.) Developing and executing construction projects and contract administration; Or 2.) Managing project time and cost growth; Or 3.) Analyzing plans and specifications, drawings and site conditions; Or 4.) Preparing Cost Estimates in connection with approved claims. Specialized experience for the GS-12. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the federal service which includes: 1.) Developing and executing construction projects and contract administration; Or 2.) Managing project time and cost growth; Or 3.) Analyzing plans and specifications, drawings and site conditions; Or 4.) Preparing Cost Estimates in connection with approved claims. Time in Grade Requirement: For GS-12 positions: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). For GS-11 positions: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
