PRODUCTION LEAD
SUMMARY
Under the Production Manager and Production Supervisor’s direction, the Production Lead supports daily production operations and contract fulfillment by helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards. This position provides day-to-day guidance to team members, helps coordinate workflow, and supports vocational training and skill development for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Production Lead helps maintain a productive work environment while promoting safety, quality, efficiency, and successful workplace participation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
- Coordinate daily production activities to support contract fulfillment, production goals, customer requirements, and established quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication with customers and internal departments to support contract requirements, quality assurance, and timely fulfillment.
- Coordinate inventory control activities, including tracking, staging, material logistics, and documentation related to contract production.
- Review and complete daily production reports, including production counts, end-of-shift reporting, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate production processes and workflow to support the timely completion and delivery of products.
- Monitor workflow and production processes throughout the Employment Resource Center to promote productivity, efficiency, and effective utilization of resources.
- Monitor compliance with established production policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and provide recommendations to enhance safety, productivity, quality, customer service, and cost efficiency.
- Assist with the development and documentation of production methods, quality control processes, and recordkeeping procedures.
- Assist with the development and implementation of tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment needed to support contract production.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining production standards and productivity expectations for assigned work areas.
- Participate in safety initiatives, including Safety Committee activities, and support the implementation of established safety procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to support the effective flow and execution of ERC production processes.
- Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
- May be assigned other duties as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct reports but assists with the oversight and direction of Production Assemblers and Senior Production Assemblers, as well as production operations, and may provide task guidance, training, and direction to volunteers as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers, production assemblers, and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects, discrepancies, or process concerns.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while remaining cooperative and team-oriented.
- Ability to interpret work instructions, production documentation, package reports, and quality requirements.
- Ability to support productivity, organization, and quality control in a fast-paced production environment.
- Have a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
- Ability to set priorities, follow through to completion of tasks, work well under pressure, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required: Two (2) years’ verifiable work experience in a related field such as production, warehouse, or distribution.
Required: Current CPI certification within 30 days of employment
Required: Current CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment
Required: Certified to operate forklift and pallet jack within 30 days of hire.
Preferred: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
